Dear JFA artists,
here is where I will post information about the upcoming JFA festival in Dubai. I will cut and paste the information I have been sent from the organiser and then post resources so you become familiar with the artists mentioned.
"I've got 3 projects in mind, two are a little more involved and one is just to give the kids a bit of a break in between.
The first involves creating a type of pop art self portrait using collage with acetate and sharpie on top. I haven't made an exemplar yet, but we've done them in class with magazine collage and they look pretty slick.
The second is a simple optical illusion, and the third is based off Roy Lichtenstein, with student choice for subject matter.
Just a reminder, all students need to bring with them are 3 pieces of work they'd like to display in the first "mini" show on Friday. Our culminating art show will be on the last day, Saturday.
If your kids want to bring their laptops/tablets they are more than welcome to. I'm going to get some iPads for the weekend from the tech office so we will have some extras to share too."

You need to bring 3 artworks with you, or photographs if you are a photographer - you need to give these to me asap.
I will make little labels to go with your work. They must include your name, school, title of the piece and a brief outline of what the work is about. It should be in this format -
Your Name in Calibri 14point bold
ABA – an IB World School: Oman Calibri 14point normal
‘Title of piece Calibri 14point italic bold’
Brief outline of what the piece is Calibri 14point normal. This should a very short outline of what the piece is, how it was made, and what you hope the audience will think about when they look at it.
