Task: Make a bold poster urging the viewer to change their impact on the environment, or to become aware of their impact on the environment.
Step 1: Visit My climate website using the button below. Find out about our individual impact on climate change through the way we live our lives. ( do you go over 2.0t of CO2 emissions? I bet you do.....)
Step 2: Explore some of the examples of successful poster design posted on the webpage.
Step 3: with a partner plan and produce a poster that does one of the following things:
Encourage people to have a ‘staycation’ in Oman rather than travel overseas
Encourage the school to offset student travel for sports events with a purposeful project to ameliorate the damage done to the environment.
If you want to start a debate make a poster that says eating meat is bad for the environment ( check out the facts on this..... there is a link button below).
Use any fact from the My Climate website that you think would make a good poster.
Parameters:
The poster does not have to be huge – A4 to A2 in size.
You may use any media (grade 9 - you could make a digital image using your landscape art)
Keep It Simple Stupid!
Grade 9: We will also be showing your landscape art at the same event.
You may work with a partner.
Deadline: Morning of 11th March.

- Communicates a shocking fact about our impact on the environment (for example:
- 2.0t CO2 = The maximum amount of CO2 a person should produce per year in order to halt climate change
- 9.1 t CO2 = The amount of CO2 a citizen of the EU produces each year on average)
